Biography

Darryl Hurs has 30 years of experience in the music industry, launching INDIE WEEK, one of Canada’s largest music showcase festivals and conferences. During COVID-19, he transitioned INDIE WEEK to a virtual format and founded Music Pro Summit, indie101, and SCREENxSCREEN. In 2023, he launched VENUExVENUE music festival and the DIT COMMUNITY (Do It Together) – an online community hosting webinars, education for artists and networking sessions. From 2019 to 2024, he was the Business Development Manager (Canada) for CD Baby / DOWNTOWN MUSIC. Darryl has freelanced with Live Nation and worked with top artists and brands. Previous roles include artist manager, tour manager, and venue booker.
